Founded in 1981 in the home of espresso, Italy, Saeco focused on research and developing products that can only bring about a better quality of life for consumers. Automated espresso & coffee machines for at home use and commercial use are produced by Saeco and shipped around the world.When you think of Europe's espresso machine industry Saeco Group's name continues to show up again and again. Their products are known for their continued innovation and quality. In 1999 Saeco acquired Gaggia (another solid brand in the professional espresso machine industry) further extending their hold on the market.
Saeco Espresso Machine: US Division
Saeco International's division in the US is called Saeco USA, Inc. which is based in Glenwillow, Ohio. Weatherhead 100 has recognized Saeco USA as one of the fastest expanding companies in Northern Ohio from 2005-2008. Their US division focuses on strong customer support with a full time call center, nationwide distribution and marketing of Saeco machine products.
Saeco Espresso Machine: Continuing Innovations
Saeco’s innovation produced the very first automated coffee machine in 1985 and came out with “The Twin” where 2 cups of coffee could be prepared at the same time from each Saeco Machine. By 1998 each Saeco machine had digital push button readouts making it unbelievably handy to make push button espresso / coffee. Not on did Saeco add ceramic grinders to Saeco Espresso Machine lines in 2004, they also added digital touch screen interfaces to them. 2006-2008 marked the emergence of four new Saeco espresso machine lines: Primea, Talea, Odea and the Xsmall line which is the smallest Saeco espresso machine they have ever produced. Customers have been concerned with differing espresso bean sizes and Saeco has addressed that concern by adding adaptation capability to the machines to grind ideal amounts specific to the bean.Saeco Espresso Machine: Awards For Excellence
Saeco International Group has won awards for their innovation. This includes product design excellence from Red Dot Design which focuses on quality in terms of form, functionality, clearness of operation, ergonomics, life-span, environmental impact, degree of innovation and symbolic and emotive content. Plus X awarded Saeco with recognition when they looked at ease-of-use, design, ergonomics, ecology and design. Saeco won the IF Product Design award when it was judged for best function, usability, environmental attributes and reliability. German Stiftung Waretest: GUT 2,3 award also placed Saeco machine products in the top for espresso and cappuccino machines when tested on function, reliability, usability and environmental characteristics. Time and time again Saeco continues to improve and innovate in all aspects of their automatic espresso and coffee machines.
In partnership with Mavea, a renowned leader in water filtration Saeco's Talea, Primea, and Incanto espresso machine lines have been equipped with their filtering systems. Impurities, limescale, chlorine, copper and lead are removed using Mavea's water filtering process on Saeco machine line of products. These impurities can also build up overtime without Mavea’s unique filtering process. Saeco customers can have greater confidence in having the same quality espresso taste in every cup with Mavea's filtration system.
