Making Espresso: The Grind
Grind the espresso beans to your desired amount. After grounding, place the coffee in the filter basket and adjust it in the coffee machine. Making Espresso: Pulling The Shot
In colloquial terms, brewing espresso is called "pull a shot". So, when everything is prepared, pull the shot. The espresso machine will begin the heating of the water and pressurize it through the piping once it reaches the right temperature. The hot water under 9 to 18 bars of pressure will run through the fine espresso bean grounds and this will extract the essence of the flavor to create your cup of espresso. Have your espresso cup already placed right under the dispenser. Crema / Schiuma is a reddish brown foam and it will form at the top when the espresso begins the flow. After the crema foam changes to an off-white color you can remove the cup (about 25-30 seconds after it begins dripping). If you continue the flow then your espresso flavor will increase in bitterness / acidity. You cup is ready so you can serve it or enjoy it yourself!
